The room was clean and comfortable, with a comfortable bed and hot water in the shower. I also appreciated the complimentary tea/coffee station in the room. The location of the hotel was convenient, being just a short walk away from the main city center. Another advantage was the helpful and attentive manager who made sure we had everything we needed.

There were a few negative aspects to our stay. we were woken up early in the morning by a member of the staff despite requesting a later breakfast time.

What I really liked about the hotel was the charming and cozy decoration. The hotel had a lovely traditional Sri Lankan vibe, with beautiful artwork and decorations that made me feel immersed in the local culture. The general areas of the hotel were well-maintained and provided a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. As a senior woman, I found the hotel easily accessible with clear signage and no obstacles that could pose a challenge for older guests.

If there was one thing I would ask for a better vacation experience for senior people, it would be more assistance from the staff. While the children working there were generally polite, I felt that they could have been more attentive and proactive in helping senior guests navigate the property or offering their assistance when needed.

For the price we paid, our stay at this hotel was great value. The room was exactly as advertised, clean and comfortable. The location was ideal, close to all the popular attractions. The staff at Kutumbaya were absolutely amazing, friendly and always ready to help with anything we needed. Special shoutout to Buddika, the host, who made our stay extra pleasant and provided us with valuable local recommendations. My daughter especially loved the bunk bed in our room.

The breakfast offerings could be improved with more variety.

I recently stayed at a hotel in Anuradhapura called Kutumbaya for a short visit. The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome right from the start. The hotel itself was exceptional, with clean and stylish rooms that were spacious and comfortable. The Sri Lankan food they served was delicious and great value for money. The bathroom was modern and the wifi worked well. I was also impressed by the lovely garden and the adorable kitten family they had. it was one of the best places I stayed at during my trip to Sri Lanka.

I would be happy to recommend this hotel.
